[ID: a tweet by @/itshalaaaaa that sats “y'all aware this boycotting is a permanent thing yeah?”
@/land2thetiller quote retweets, saying “i think many people don’t understand sustained boycotting can take years. i also think that’s why people are desperate to see ‘results’ & are saying mcdonald’s and starbucks are closing already. these companies are multi-billion follar empures. we must be patient & persistent.” and “this isn’t me being pessimistic. i believe boycotting will work. but we must be ready to give up these fake convenience based pleasures. even if we don’t see immediate results, we must keep going. the boycott movement against apartheid in south africa went on for 35 years.”
I am so scared of this movie yall. theyre gonna make link a speaking role. they’re gonna force a zelda link romance. theyre gonna cgi all of it. theyre gonna cast a bland white man as link!!!!!!! i can feel it in my Bones. i am terrified.
Yknow. If you’re like, a tow truck driver or something. And you get a call. “Oh no, there’s a strange camper van parked on my street for two days” like
If you get there and someone’s living out of that van. You can just. Not tow them. Like. Let them know what’s up so they can find a friendlier place to rest maybe but just. Idk. Tell your boss it was gone by the time you got there or something. Don’t do shit like that to people who are already struggling.
Maybe you’re not a tow truck driver. Maybe you’re someone with some other kind of power. You can just. Lie. Protect people. Say no. Pretend you didn’t see it. Move on. Let people live. Have some class solidarity, use your power for good. You have choice. You have agency. You have compassion. Don’t let being an employee strip you of that.
